What You'll Do
As a business development representative, your primary responsibilities will be generating interest in our products, educating prospects about TakeTurns, building relationships, and building brand recognition for TakeTurns⸺all fairly standard things for a typical BDR role.
However, what makes this role different is where TakeTurns is in its lifecycle. We’re a startup. We’ve just launched our application (try it out!). And our Go to Market (GTM) strategy is based on Product Led Growth (PLG) principles. Instead of setting up meetings for account executives, you’ll be setting up product trials for potential customers. You will have direct engagement and a direct impact on our business growth and trajectory.
The primary target audience, broadly speaking, is anyone that has a need to share and revise documents in a structured, turn-by-turn workflow with external or internal parties.
While you’ll officially be reporting to the sales director. TakeTurns is a flat organization with a make-it-work approach. In other words, you’ll have direct access to anyone you need across our organization, all the way up to the CEO.
This is a remote opportunity with core hours of Monday to Friday, 8-5 PM, in your own time zone. Infrequent business travel may be required.
Summary:
- You will report to the Sales Director and use outreach tools including social media, phone, and e-mail to build relationships while introducing TakeTurns. The goal is to establish product trials with those you interact with.
- Develop a deep understanding of TakeTurns product offering and how to align use cases to our prospective client’s needs.
- Partner collaboratively with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to continuously provide feedback on our messaging, positioning, and solution capabilities and road map
- Being a PLG offering, you will also do outreach to product trial users converting them to subscribing users.
- Represent us and ensure positive, low-risk outcomes.
- Utilize and maintain our CRM and other tools.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Experience in sales, BDR, or phone sales experience, preferably with software or a technical product.
- 4-year college degree preferred
