AI assistant and new document actions

TakeTurns is pleased to introduce several new features this month. These features focus on how you and your participants interact with the documents and files you share.

All users now have access to the AI assistant and new document actions

Introducing the AI Assistant

We’ve introduced a new AI Assistant that provides useful details about the files and documents you’re collaborating on.  On our roadmap are additional AI capabilities and more chatbot support. Currently, the AI Assistant uses ChatGPT 4o.

Here’s what the AI Assistant can do:

Summarize

When using Summarize, the AI Assistant will return a concise, roughly fifty-word description of the document you’re previewing.  Summarize is available on all documents and document versions.

Use summarize in the TakeTurns AI Assistant to obtain a short summary of the content.

Compare

With Compare, the AI assistant will outline the important differences between the current document version and its previous version. In the example beneath, Compare noted that the payment teams and late payment terms were updated in the latest revision.

New Document Actions

You can now do even more with documents in TakeTurns. Some of the new actions include annotating, filling out forms, and adding signatures.

Annotate PDF

It’s now possible to add annotations—text boxes, highlights, shapes, arrows, and more—to any PDF shared in TakeTurns. After participants save changes, TakeTurns creates a new revision, which appears as a new entry in version history.

Use the annotation toolbar in the TakeTurns file preview modal to add annotations. Remember to "save changes" to upload your updates.

Fill out PDF Forms

If the PDF is a fillable form, participants can enter data directly into the form fields without having to use the annotation tools. After the changes are saved, your completed PDF form will appear as a new entry in the version history.

For fillable PDF forms, click on the fields you want to add data to. Remember to "save changes" to upload your updates.
Completed forms appear as new entries after you click save changes.

Add a signature

It’s now possible to add signatures to documents without leaving TakeTurns.  Participants simply click the sign button and place their signatures where required.  After the participant save changes, TakeTurns creates a new PDF revision, which appears as a new entry in version history.

You can easily add a signature to any document/file in your Flow. Remember to "save changes" to upload your updates.
